Hi, none of those kexts worked, some of them gave me Kernel Panic and one was doing that crazy beep Very Happy

but I've remembered that I saw usb sound card recently. Can you please tell me if it is sufficient ?

I don't know what to tell you voodooHDA has always worked. Re:USB sound card do you mean one that plugs into the USB? well, Again it is all kind of hit and miss unless you get an apple (or one used by apple) sound card there are no guarantees always keep in mind you are using software that is incompatible with your hardware it is not going to "just work" I was tooling around the torrent sites last night and I saw a new universal 10.6.2 distro you may want to look into it Smile

Yes voodoohda did every time a good job for me too but not this time and as I'm searching over google I'm not the only one, but I do not see any other option than just buy the usb sound card compatible with mac. (approximately 3€) This should work because usb are working on my laptop and it's vanilla so I'll give it a shot

btw I didn't find that universal can you point me to right verbs ? And I've got at home some iDeneb 1.4 I guess, can I some how export kexts from that dvd ?

If you search for 10.6.2 you should be able to find it I found it first try just watch out for those pirates at the bay and also remember that * is your friend Smile

Hi, I'm going to provide "guide" through all my steps in the way of testing possible kext to enable my alc269 and the progresss here if you don't mind.

VoodooHDA 2.5.3 http://www.kexts.com/view/189-voodoohda_v2.5.3.html did gave me "sound" it was that high beep. I've installed only this kext without any appleHDA or HDAenabler.
